Because mini sessions are short and fast-paced, a little preparation beforehand helps us make the most of your time and capture beautiful images.

👗 1. Choose Your Outfits Ahead of Time

Select your outfits at least a few days before your session.

Coordinate colors rather than wearing identical outfits.

Choose simple, timeless pieces that photograph well.

Avoid large logos, busy graphics, and distracting patterns.

Bring a backup outfit if you have room.

Make sure everyone's clothing is clean, wrinkle-free, and comfortable.

Make sure no one is cold/too hot or uncomfortable in their outfits.

👶 2. For Babies & Young Children

Make sure your child has a good nap before the session when possible.

Feed your baby shortly before arriving.

Bring snacks and a favorite drink.

Bring a favorite toy, pacifier, or comfort item if needed.

Bring diapers, wipes, and anything else your child may need.

Avoid introducing a brand-new food or treat right before the session.

Don't worry if your child doesn't cooperate perfectly — we'll work with their personality and mood!

YES, you can offer them a treat if they cooperate ;-)

💇‍♀️ 3. Hair & Makeup

Plan to arrive with hair and makeup completely finished.

Allow extra time for getting ready so you aren't rushed.

Keep makeup natural and camera-friendly unless you prefer a more dramatic look.

Bring a small touch-up kit with lipstick/gloss, powder, hairbrush, and hair ties.

🧺 4. Bring a Small Emergency Kit

Consider bringing:

Baby wipes, tissues, hairbrush, hair ties, lint roller, safety pins, extra diapers, snacks, water, small towel or blanket

⏰ 5. Please Arrive Early

Plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early.

Give yourself enough time for parking, walking in, bathroom breaks, and last-minute adjustments.

Please arrive dressed and ready to photograph.

Late arrival will reduce the amount of shooting time available during the mini session.

📍 6. Before You Leave Home

Check everyone's hair, face, teeth, and clothing.

Remove temporary tattoos, hair elastics, bulky watches, or distracting accessories if desired.

Empty pockets of phones, keys, wallets, and other items.

Make sure children's faces and hands are clean.

Bring any special props or sentimental items you would like included.

❤️ 7. Most Important — Relax & Have Fun!

Your mini session is designed to be quick, easy, and fun. Don't worry about making everyone look or behave perfectly.

Dads, be patient please. If your children are not cooperating, do not scold them. Instead, be playful. Tickles, jokes, a little horse play is welcomed. Let your children be themselves, enjoy the moment, and trust me to guide you through the session. Some of the sweetest photographs happen during the unexpected little moments!

Since we only have 30 minutes, please arrive ready to go. The more prepared you are beforehand, the more time we can spend creating beautiful photographs together!
